An AI prototype is quick to build. It gets difficult when it has to work with existing systems. There you find grown processes, business rules and dependencies that have to be understood first. And people who are responsible for keeping operations running.

I continue to develop and run software of my own. That keeps my technical judgement close to implementation, tests and real operations. In a leadership role it means I can assess a solution without pulling the team's decisions to myself.

Live

A language and learning platform for students that I designed, build and run myself. At its core is an agentic AI pipeline: it generates learning content dynamically, a verification workflow checks every item, and only once a teacher approves it does it reach the students. Students and teachers work in their own roles on the same platform. Underneath: local AI via Ollama, more than 3,000 automated tests; the NLP and audio stacks are public on GitHub.

    When the decision becomes a programme.

    Cross-system architecture, integration and migration planning, technical guardrails, transition strategies and architecture responsibility during delivery.

    Outcome: target architecture, transition steps with cutover and fallback conditions, technical release criteria, documented architecture decisions.
